Once Faith Baptist Church was complete, my family and I took a road trip to see the church and experience a service together. Our visit happened to coincide with the first baptisms in the new building that I helped design and see through construction. The occasion was made even more special by the fact that one of my boyhood friends was baptizing children as the family pastor. I was heavily involved with the design of a couple or specific areas throughout the church, including the baptismal. Seeing the baptisms helped bring things full circle.
The experience was rich and full. My family got to see what I worked on all those times I was away from home, and I got to see firsthand how Faith Baptist used the building we designed as a ministry tool to further God’s kingdom.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”
